Drie weekjes – Three weeks old
IJslandse Hond, onze pupjes zijn drie weken oud!
Wat gaat de tijd snel, opeens hebben ze al tandjes, opeens eten ze al pap en opeens rennen ze al van de ene kant naar de andere kant van de ren. Nog even en ze kunnen helemaal vrij rondlopen.
En ook sinds vandaag gaan ze echt in een mandje kruipen en komen er weer uit en lopen dan speciaal naar de plasmatjes om een plasje te doen. Ik ben supertrots op het kleine grut.
Mama Skikkja
En mama Skikkja verzorgt ze zo goed, ze eet nog steeds alle poepjes op, zelfs nu ze ook pap eten. Ik verwonder me er echt over elke keer met hoeveel geduld ze bv ook de hele nacht in de kraamkamer tussen al haar pups ligt te slapen. lekker te koesen met elkaar.
Tante Twit
Ach en dan die Tante Twit, oftewel Twirre FráHálendi voluit. Wat een lekker schatje is het toch. Ook zij verzorgt de pups heel graag en als het even kan dan gromt ze Skikkja erbij weg(Wat we natuurlijk niet toelaten) zo van “Die zijn nu van mij!”
Het pleintje
Inmiddels is er een extra ren gemaakt op ons pleintje. Ietsje groter dan in de slaapkamer, want daar groeien ze nu echt uit. En dan gaan we straks ook de slaapkamer uitbreiden, hekjes weg en plasbakken erin en dan begint de zindelijkheidstraining pas echt. Wat een avontuur, heerlijk!
Icelandic Sheepdog
Our puppies are three weeks old! How quickly time flies.
Suddenly they already have teeth, suddenly they are already eating porridge and suddenly they are running from one side to the other of the run.
It won’t be long before they can walk around completely free. And since today they really start crawling into a basket and come out again and then walk specifically to the pee pads to have a pee. I’m very proud of the little ones.
Mama Skikkja
And mom Skikkja takes care of them so well, she still eats all the poop, even now that they also eat porridge. I am always amazed at how patiently she sleeps all night in the maternity room among all her puppies, having fun with each other. Oh and then that Aunt Twit, or Twirre FráHálendi in full. What a lovely sweetheart she is. She also enjoys taking care of the puppies and if possible she growls Skikkja away (which of course we don’t allow) like “They’re mine now!”
The square
An extra run has now been created on our square. Slightly larger than in the bedroom, because they are really growing out of that now. And then we will soon expand the bedroom, remove fences and add pee boxes, and then the potty training will really begin. What an adventure, wonderful!
